My name is Achyut Acharya. I joined agriculture and forestry university to undergraduate B.vsc.and A.H.
During my study I am always far from my homecity, Mulpani, which is in the surrounding area of Kathmandu. This is a semi-urban place sitting on the lap of world heritage site Changunarayan, Bhaktapur Durbar square with green forest and awesome environment.
JYUC is a youth club which was established nine years ago. Since our establishment we contributed to many works like making profiles of villages, cleaning camps and sometimes afforestation too.
My application to this part is to inform about consequences of the devastating earthquake on marginal people, our world heritage and our green forest. As a coordinator, during my vacation I initiated another camp and was successful. It is still running. Cleaning camps, helping the government for managing ruined structures was its goal.
My topic may be unrelated but it is must to share my experience. How many noticed the absence of girls in that program? Nepal is still feeling strong quakes and many parents are allowed to go there. Despite of low finance and few human resources, I was able to coordinate that program by cleaning the forest and preserving our forest.
Most of the Nepalese lost their home so to make temporary houses they are cutting down trees. If Nepal government was able to mobilize tarpaulins equally then we could reduce deforestation.
Nepal is evergreen country and we will help this country to be evergreen;and I am going to launch other program too if someone boosts us and appreciate my little effort!
