Side event: Innovating Forestry Education and Training – Effective Learning in the New Era

This is the first Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) in forestry, and the innovative methods applying in transforming the forestry education system.

Supported by APFNet, University of University of British Columbia (UBC), Beijing Forestry University (BFU), University of Melbourne (MU), University Putra Malaysia (UPM) and University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) worked together created first six online SFM courses, and more courses are coming soon.

The session would be of interest to academics, students and young professionals. This event aims to share innovative forestry education and training methods in the Asia – Pacific region as well as the global experience and explore the potential for up-scaling the success of regional forestry education partnerships and training experiences.
